AUSTRALIA

Magatar has succesfully implemented its LCM methodology at Caledon's Cook Colliery in Queensland early in 2008. Production has steadily increased during the first months as equipment and logistical problems were adressed and curently the Magatar section is achieving double the tonnage output of Cook's shuttle car section.

Other contracting opportunities in Australia are being pursued.

SOUTH AFRICA

Magatar was awarded a sub-contract to mine lower seam coal reserves for one of the major South African coal mining companies. Mining commenced in August 2010 and is currently in the ramp-up phase. The company is also busy negotiating a mining sub-contract in a medium seam colliery with another major coal mining company for implementation during 2012.
